Despite Internet Rumors, Sage 500 ERP is Alive and Well

Sage-500-ERPYou may have heard a rumor or two about Sage 500 ERP’s imminent retirement, but we’re here to tell you that these rumors are NOT true. Sage 500 ERP is here to stay, and Sage 500 users will continue to receive the same great service and support they’ve come to expect from Sage. In fact, Sage just released their new Sage 500 ERP Roadmap to highlight the direction of the product and alert users of what they can expect for future updates. Does that sound like a product that’s nearing its end-of-life? We think not.

If you’re still not convinced, it may help you to know that at this year’s Sage Summit, Sage even announced their renewed commitment and continued investment in Sage 500 ERP for years to come (hence the product roadmap). During this announcement, they revealed what current users can expect from Sage 500, including:

  • Continued integration with the add-ons you love (such as Avalara)
  • Sage 500 ERP support through at least 2020
  • Enhanced functionality with the new Sage features you want, such as the Sage Data Cloud
  • Annual releases and service packs for the next 3 years (to start)
